Institute of Pathology in Holstebro screens histological and cytological specimens for the unit of hospitals West (Hospitalsenheden Vest), for GPs and for specialists within the coverage area of the hospital.
The staff consists of nearly 30 people. The estimation of medical staff needed is six specialists, one senior registrar and one senior registrar in an introductory position.
Four specialists are currently employed, including the Head of Department and a senior registrar in an introductory position. Furthermore 3 external consultants are hired for certain microscopy tasks.
In 2010 the institute carried out approximately 19.600 histological screenings, approximately 17.500 cytological screenings (including cervix cytology) and 14 autopsies. In addition to microscopy we make sectioning of operative specimens (particularly colon, rectum, uterus, cervix uteri, testis and kidney) and autopsies.
What we offer for specialized doctors:
- A 6 month language course and Danish Medical Language Program in Budapest with compensation for lost income(settlement assistance of €800 per month)
