This fully accredited mixed billing practice looking for an additional GP to meet patient demand. The practice offer a full range of family practice services including medicals and chronic care plans.
The practice offers teaching and currently has one registrar completing their placement.
The Position
This is an 8 - 10 session per week position with flexible hours during the week. The practice is also open at the weekend however this is worked in rotation alongside additional weekend GPs so at most would be 1:4.
Income potential is very high with an available patient base to walk in to. The practice is mixed billing so there is scope to privately bill patients or increase your earning potential with women's health and care plans.
This position is open to GPs who require initial supervision. A GP qualification is required however your MRCGP qualification is not essential. Please get in touch for more information on your own qualifications.
The Location
Mackay is a small city on Queensland's east coast. The city offers art deco buildings, café culture and palm tree lined streets. Beaches and rainforests are on your doorstep and just off the coast is the Great Barrier Reef.
A short trip from Mackay you can explore the Whitsunday islands and national parks.
The population of Mackay is just under 90,000 so has all the facilities you would need in terms of shopping, restaurants, sporting facilities and schools for the kids.
The Requirements
The doctors are required to hold GP specific qualification from one of the following countries:
- UK / Ireland
- USA
- Canada
- Belgium
- Netherlands
- Singapore
- Denmark
- Norway
- South Africa
- Sweden
English Language Requirements
If English is NOT your first language and your primary medical qualification are NOT from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Canada or South Africa:
- You need to pass the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 7 and a minimum of the following within one result:
IELTS required scores:
- Speaking 7.0
- Listening 7.0
- Writing 7.0
- Reading 7.0
