The practice based in the town of Napier is a large medical centre with a strong team of GPs and nursing team.
This is a modern clinic providing a range of general practice services alongside minor treatment room and specialist services. There are radiology and pharmacy services onsite.
The practice provide services to almost 20,000 enrolled patients plus walk ins.
The Position
- 8 - 10 sessions per week
- Salary starts at 90K GBP
- Minimum contract 12 months
- Flexible working roster
- One evening shift required and 1:4 weekend shift
- Excellent salary with contribution towards indemnity and practicing certificate
- Your special interests are accommodated however only general practice experience required; local hospital is 20 located in the town
The Location
Famed for its art deco buildings, Napier is an eastern coastal town on New Zealand's North Island. One of the great wine producing regions, the area offers fabulous food and wine with great restaurants. The climate is fantastic, with warm summers and high annual sunshine hours.
The area is well serviced with private and public education and health services, sporting facilities for all the family and outdoor pursuits are easily accessible with nearby beaches, lakes and forests.
The Requirements
To be eligible for the position you need to hold 33 months comparable general practice experience from one of the following countries.
This can be spread over 48 months with gaps as long as it totals 33 months within that timeframe.
You also should have worked for a minimum of 30 hours per week.

English Language Requirements
If English is NOT your first language and your primary medical qualification are NOT from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Canada or South Africa:
- You need to pass the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) by achieving a minimum of the following within one result:
IELTS required scores:
- Speaking 7.5
- Listening 7.5
- Writing 7.0
- Reading 7.0
